Are you an MBO, HBO, or WO student who likes to think about complex societal issues and craves to make an impact? Then we are looking for you! The TUD and The Hague University of Applied Sciences work closely together and are looking for students to join the Even Groene Vrienden Learning Communities (LC) in Q2/3! In these learning communities, students from MBO, HBO, and WO come together to work, innovate, and learn (WIL triangle) with stakeholders such as teachers and municipalities on solutions to complex societal problems.
Our cases at the moment vary from a self-sustaining energy system for the port of Rotterdam to the future of sustainable healthcare. The learning communities can be joined through an individual or team project, for example with a bachelor/master thesis project or with a minor studies! So basically: You're joining the learning communities whilst completing your course. In the community, anything is possible and together we decide on the route, as long as the goal is to share expertise and inspire each other. Each community is managed by our team and guided by a skilled facilitator. The facilitator has a catalyzing role in this process by providing the group with creative tools and content as the projects go along so that your personal as well as professional development is ensured!
The commitment to contributing to the learning communities is 2-3 hours per week (aside from the obligations for the course you're following).

Learning Communities
Ben jij docent die werkzaam is in het MBO/HBO/WO en wil jij studenten een leeromgeving bieden die effectief is?
Dat kan door een actieve rol te spelen in het begeleiden van studenten in Learning Communities.
Learning communities zijn de motor van innovatieve ontwikkelingen. Professionals uit bedrijven, overheden en NGO’s werken in Learning Communities samen met onderzoekers, docenten en studenten uit kennisinstellingen. In Learning Communities wordt geleerd, gewerkt en geïnnoveerd in kleine groepjes van 5/6 personen vanuit een gezamenlijk belang. Het doel is om kennis te ontwikkelen en delen en oplossingen te zoeken voor complexe maatschappelijke problemen.

Impact op het Onderwijs

Hoe begeleid je studenten in een Learning Communities?
Integreer een Challenge van een Learning Community in projectvakken, stages, minors, of afstudeerprojecten waardoor nieuwe opdrachten steeds weer uit de Learning Communities komen door een voortdurende interactie van de Learning Communities met de maatschappij.
Speel een actieve rol als begeleider. Help studenten bij het formuleren van hun leerdoelen en het ontwikkelen van hun projecten binnen de learning community.
Betrek relevante stakeholders zoals bedrijven, overheden en NGO’s. Hun input en samenwerking zijn essentieel voor het succes van de Learning Community en bieden studenten een rijkere leerervaring.
